Season 7 of When Calls the Heart was full of ups and downs: Elizabeth's ever-complicated love triangle with Nathan and Lucas, Faith's sudden exit from Hope Valley, Lee's health scare, to name a few. For most of the season, Hearties had two equally important questions: Who will Elizabeth choose and is When Calls the Heart coming back for another season?
Hallmark Channel kept Hearties guessing right until the season 7 finale. Right after the episode aired, Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth Thornton on the show, announced the good news: "From my heart and home to yours, I'm thrilled to announce the all-new season 8 of When Calls the Heart coming next year. We can't wait to see you back in Hope Valley."

Leading up the season 8 premiere, Hallmark Channel gave fans a sneak peek of what's to come. In the 30-second trailer, Elizabeth takes off her wedding ring, has a heart-to-heart with Rosemary, and finally puts an end to her love triangle with Nathan and Lucas. "For too long, I've allowed myself to drift between two good men," Elizabeth confesses. Still, the question remains: Who will she pick?
