But curious, if anyone knows.

I'1000 going out tomorrow night and I want to dye my hair this night.. simply there are parts that I tin can feel which have a conditioner build-upwards, and so it feels kind of greasy, and I call up it'south be all-time to launder information technology first. (I concluding washed information technology two nights ago)... I'g just wondering if anyone knows WHY they recommend not dyeing it immediately subsequently washing information technology?

When I got my pilus dyed, the stylist told my mom over the phone to let me expect 2-3 days and let my hair get oilier before coming in. It helps protect the hair or something so information technology'southward less damaged. didn't affect the way my hair came out, information technology's still as light as i wanted. i wouldn't recommend washing it right before because information technology could maybe dry out your hair out more than. i don't know for certain, but it'southward not worth it to cause dryness if yous can effort to prevent it, if you lot know what i mean?

its considering the grease actually helps absorbs the dye more. If you just washed your hair and dye it, your pilus isnt greasy and wont blot dye as much. Its all-time to give it some time from washing your hair to dyeing it

Honestly it won't make a bit of difference. The biggest reason you aren't supposed to wash your hair before you go information technology colored is that during washing yous can scratch your scalp with your fingernails and the modest scratches tin can get irritated/burned from the dye. If you are careful nothing bad will happen.

It might irritate your scalp considering if it's freshly washed you just scrubbed it and and then you are applying chemicals
I've done it before though and it wasn't a big deal.

If your hair is annihilation similar mine, just launder in the morn and dye in the evening. After a full twenty-four hour period my scalp is oily plenty.

I recall if information technology's drier (as in only washed & dried) information technology will be more porous. I would think it would be healthier to dye greasier, oilier hair. Information technology seems similar it would be more than protected :shrugs:

Yep, having some of your hair'south natural oils and a styling product or two in information technology when you color information technology helps you get a meliorate colour result AND helps to protect your pilus and scalp from the chemicals in the color. Y'all should color it while it's dirty, and and so rinse the color out thoroughly, then condition, and so wait 24-48 hours before you shampoo it later you colour information technology.

It won't make a difference. Trust me, I must've dyed my hair over 100 times and in all kinds of ways.

Do yous feel your skin gets itchy or irritated from hair dye?

If yes, then dye muddied hair. If not, then y'all tin wash and dye immediately afterwards.

Skin oils protect scalp from irritants in the dye. They practice not help dye blot into the hair. Information technology is all for skin comfort.
